Alan Brewer has spent a lifetime in public service which makes him uniquely qualified to serve on Flemington Borough Council. He served our country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections and currently serves as the Hunterdon County Commander overseeing five American Legion posts.
Since retirement from the NJ Department of Corrections, Alan devoted his time to running a 501©3 non-profit organization. Alan is a full-time volunteer running and operating the New Jersey Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center located in West Trenton, NJ. As President and Executive Director of one of the largest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers in North America, Al supervises the annual collection and distribution of approximately 100,000 pairs of recycled glasses which are sent to about 26 different countries annually. Al served as Vice-President on the Coppermine Village Homeowners Association since 2020; Flemington Borough Council in 2016; Flemington Borough Planning Board 2015-2016; Flemington-Raritan School District Board of Education in 2014-2015 and is currently on the ballot running for Flemington Borough Council.
